What tetramon sends
tetramon measures your computer without sending anything it measures: CPU, disk, memory, network and hardware stay on your machine.
With Check for updates ticked (Settings, General section; ticked by default):
- At startup and every so often it downloads
https://tetramon.iborra.eu/latest.jsonto see whether there's a new version. The server sees your IP address and tetramon's version, like any visit to a website. - Each check sends an anonymous usage event to a self-hosted Umami instance (
stats.misrutas.net): tetramon's version and a random installation id created the first time. It counts how many computers use each version. It includes neither your name, nor the computer's, nor anything tetramon measures. - Untick it and tetramon connects to nothing.
When updating, the new version is downloaded from the same server and its SHA-256 fingerprint is checked before it is used.
This website
This website counts visits with Umami, without cookies or personal data. The suggestions form sends only what you type in it (and the alias, if you give one).
Settings
Settings are stored in %APPDATA%\tetramon\tetramon.ini and, if you choose to start with Windows, in the registry Run key. Deleting that file and the .exe removes everything.
